Admissions Criteria

We cater to students from age 8 to 18

Admission are open throughout the year based on vacancy.
Admission form can be obtained from our school reception between 9am to 3pm on working days or procured by writing to us info@thejeyporeschool.org
All students applicants must go through detailed Psycho-educational Assessment, Grade Level Assessments and behavioral Assessments done by team of experts.
Admission level assessment are paid assessments and parents will receive certified assessment reports.

What are the timings of the school?

School operates for students from 8.45 am to 2 pm.

Why you call it School for Alternative Learning? What is Alternative Learning ?

"The Jepypore School is an alternative learning school because our way of teaching and learning is different from mainstream schools. We teach via "non-traditional", "non-conventional" methods, our curriculum is modified as per the learning pace and we make the child sit for examination only when he/she is willingly ready for it. We emphasis on building skills, provide remediation and therapeutic interventions for children who require special care and attention."

Which Board The Jeypore School follows ?

The Jeypore School follows NIOS ( National Institute of Open Schooling) Board.

Will my child progress at same pace in TJS as in any other regular school?

The NIOS Board is aligned with national educational standards and follow a similar curriculum path but with more flexibility. The students of TJS progress as per NIOS curriculum and give exam in Grade 3,5,8,10 and 12.

How do you evaluate a student at entry level?

Once we receive the intent of admission, we call students to TJS school premises for a detailed assessment which can go upto 10 days. During these days, the child is evaluated by a team of experts, special educators, therapists, and behavior therapist to understand child's academic, functional and cognitive level. A detailed report is created and shared with the parents and based on the report results, we decide the eligibility of the child for the admission.

Is it the right school for my child?

The detailed assessment will help you to understand the challenges (if there are) your child is facing and help you to take the decision.

Do you have hostel facility?

No, we do not run a residential school.

What is admission process in The Jeypore School?

"You can register your admission query online via our website or write to us at info@thejeyporeschool.org or call us on The query is responded with in 48 hours. You may request for campus visist and/or assessment. Assessemts at the time of admission are paid and once the payment is made child is called to the school to particiapte in formal informal assessments. Based on the assessments parents are informed about admission decision. Please note that the overall assessment may take more than a week in order to know the child's streanth and weakness in detail. "

Can I take admission without detailed assessment?

Keeping the importance of right invermention in mind it is extreamy important that the child goes through the assessments. However if any chilld got some staandardised test within 3 months then we may exempt him from that particular teat.

What is minimum age for admission ?

We take children fron age 6 to 16

When does the admission start?

We are open throughout the year for admission depending on the vacancy

I live out of Jaipur. How can I proceed with admission application?

You can register with us online and visit us only at the time of assessment.

How long does it take to know if my child has secured the admission?

It will take maximum 15 days to know the decision on admission

Will my child's result/performance in current school be considered at the time of admiison ?

Child's current school performance can be an indicator, but based on that, we can not decide the actual academic and cognitive level of child.
